Qalat (“She said”) is the first online database profiling Syrian women experts in a diversity of fields. The project is one of the tools designed and implemented by SFJN to change media portrayal and make it more equal and inclusive to every gender. The purpose of Qalat is to facilitate the communication between journalists, researchers and/or media organizations and Syrian women experts around the world, in order to break the male monopoly in media representation.
